Illusionist channels Marilyn Monroe on America's Got Talent
Last night on America's Got Talent illusionist Brett Daniels performed an act with a Marilyn theme. The judges didn't seem too impressed with it but I thought it was great.
I liked it and thought it to be imaginative. It's part magic show, but not the kind of performance art usually appreciated by these kinds of talent shows. I understand the static reaction of the judges here. They're really looking for more personalized self artistic expression. Guessing they thought this one relied too much on the famous image of Marilyn Monroe, not enough on the personal qualities of the artist, presenting his little show here.
